Thanksgiving Food Boxes

Each year, we collect food and gift card donations to provide Thanksgiving dinners to families in our Fredericksburg City Public Schools who are living with food insecurity.  This food is packed in to boxes and delivered to schools just before Thanksgiving.

You can participate by donating any of the supplies listed below, donating money to help us purchase groceries, help us decorate boxes Sunday mornings, or help with delivering boxes in November.

Each box is packed with:

 2 cans of corn

 2 cans of green beans

 2 cans of other veggies

 1 can cranberry sauce

 1 can fruit

 1 box mac & cheese

 1 box instant potatoes

 1 box rice

 1 box stuffing mix

 1 pk gravy mix

 1 box corn muffin mix

 1 box pie crust mix

 1 can pie filling

 1 cake mix + frosting

1 $10 Giant / Walmart gift card to cover fresh ingredients

All food donations can be dropped off in the lobby of the Education Building.  We will decorate and pack boxes throughout the month, working in a classroom on the 2nd floor of the Education Building.  November 15, we will move all the packed boxes down to the Education Lobby so they are ready to be delivered that week.
